TURKISH FLANS SPREAD

100 g crushed toasted almonds
1 tbsp chopped pistachios

PREPARATION OF THE RECIPE

In a saucepan, pour the flour, cornstarch and sugar. Then add half of the milk, mixing vigorously. Add the rest of the milk and mix again. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly. When it starts to simmer, continue cooking for 2 minutes. Pour the mixture into 3 paper cups then set aside for 4 hours, ideally overnight, in the refrigerator.

Preheat your oven to 180°c.

Place the crushed almonds on a baking tray covered with baking paper, place in the oven and cook for 6 minutes to roast them. They should color slightly.

When your flans are set after a night in the refrigerator, tear the cups and carefully unmold the flans. Cut each flan in half lengthwise, then dip everything in the toasted almonds.

Pour the spread into a bowl and place in the microwave for 20 seconds at 120 watts. This will allow it to liquefy. Fill a bag fitted with a nozzle with spread, and garnish the top of the flans. You can also use a spoon.

Decorate with chopped pistachios and enjoy.
