Puff pastry strudel with ham and cheese is indeed a delightful dish.

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and evenly spread the cream cheese over it. Next, layer the ham slices on top and sprinkle with the grated Emmental cheese.
  3. Carefully roll up the puff pastry and firmly press the ends to seal. Brush the entire strudel with the egg yolk.
  4. Place the prepared strudel on the baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
