Old Fashioned Corn Fritters are a delicious and super easy side dish! Made with canned corn, you can enjoy them all year long!
Ingredients
3 cups vegetable oil for frying
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons white sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 Tablespoon butter, melted
1 (15 ounce) can yellow corn, drained
Instructions
Heat oil in a medium skillet or pot to 365*F over medium heat.
While oil is heating up, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a medium bowl.
In a second bowl or liquid measuring cup, combine milk, egg and melted butter.
Pour milk mixture over flour mixture and gently mix. Batter will be thick.
