Ingredients 

  • 125 grams of butter
  • 80 grams of sugar
  • 8 grams of vanilla sugar (1 package)
  • 2 eggs
  • 350 grams of common flour
  • 10 grams of baking powder
  • 150 grams of cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1/2 grated lemon peel
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • Powdered sugar (for sprinkling)

Procedure

  1. Start by mixing the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and eggs in a container until you achieve a smooth mixture without lumps.
  2. Then, add the flour and baking powder, and knead the mixture with your hands until you obtain a uniform dough.
  3. Once the dough is ready, spread it on a floured surface and use a cutter to shape your cookies.
  4. In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar and lemon zest until smooth and creamy.
  5. Transfer the filling to a pastry bag and fill the dough disks to half their capacity.
  6. Seal the edges of the cookies to form a sandwich and secure the filling.
  7. Prepare the oven by preheating it to 180°C and place the cookies on a tray lined with baking paper.
  8. Place in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden and cooked.
  9. Once they are ready, remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
  10. Sprinkle with powdered sugar to add an extra touch of deliciousness before serving.
