How to Make Gluten Free Peanut Butter Chocolate Pretzel Pie

If you are looking for a fun and easy way to get your kids into the kitchen, this sweet confection is it! Layers of sweet, creamy, and crunchy goodness come together with ease. The hardest part is the waiting to dive in and devour it.

Layers of peanut butter cheesecake and chocolate top a buttery pretzel crust for the ultimate no-bake dessert.

In Crust We Trust
Crush up your pretzels and spread them into the bottom of a 7×10 baking dish. Pour the melted butter over the top and lightly press down.

Peanut Butter
Add the peanut butter, oat milk, powdered sugar, and cream cheese to a bowl and mix until it’s smooth and creamy. Spread it over the top of the pretzel crust.

Chocolate
Make the chocolate pudding according to the package directions, but reduce the oat milk by half a cup. If using Dairy Free milk beat the pudding on high to help it set. Spread the chocolate pudding over the peanut butter layer.

Top It Off
Spread the whipped topping over the top of the chocolate pudding. Garnish with additional crushed pretzels if desired.

Variations

This recipe is completely Dairy Free and Gluten Free. However you can use your favorite pretzels in this recipe, as well as regular milk and butter. The measurements will be exactly the same.

In addition you can also make this same dessert with different flavors of instant pudding such as vanilla or butterscotch. Have fun playing with your flavor combinations!

Peanut Butter Substitutions
Because peanut allergies are so common, you can easily substitute the peanut butter in this recipe for your favorite nut butter such as almond or cashew. In addition, you can also make it completely nut free by using an alternative such as sunflower seed butter.

Tools
Using a hand mixer makes this dessert come together that much faster. It’s especially helpful when mixing the chocolate pudding layer. When making instant pudding with dairy free milk, it’s a little harder to get it to set and mixing at a high speed helps.

Storage for Gluten Free Peanut Butter Chocolate Pretzel Pie
Gluten Free Peanut Butter Chocolate Pretzel Pie is the perfect make ahead dessert. It only gets better as it refrigerates and the flavors of the layers marry and the pretzel crust slightly softens. This is a dessert that needs to remain refrigerated unless it’s being served. Keep it covered tightly with plastic wrap and it will last for up to five days in the refrigerator. Trust me, it will get eaten first.
