INGREDIENTS

1 large egg, beaten
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 tsp hot sauce
3 tsp garlic powder, divided
1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken tenders, trimmed of fat
1 cup spelt flour
1 cup toasted breadcrumbs
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp baking powder
2 Tbsp vegetable oil, divided
