Savajka with cherries and semolina

If you are preparing them with frozen cherries, first defrost them and drain the excess liquid. You can also partially defrost them, but in that case, be sure to add about 2-3 tablespoons of stock to the cherries in order to collect the excess liquid from the cherries.

If you use cherries from a sweetened compote, omit the sugar in the filling. Also, if you are a fan of the sour taste of cherries, in that case, leave out the sugar in the filling.

Required ingredients:

– 500 g of noodles for pies and doughnuts (12 sheets)

– 4 pcs of eggs
– 200 g of sugar
– 2 bags of Dr. Oetker vanilla sugar
– 250 g wheat semolina
– 1 bag Dr. Oetker baking powder
– 500 ml of liquid yogurt
– 200 ml of oil

Filling:
– 800 g of pitted cherries
– 150 g of sugar (8 spoons)
– 1 bag of Dr. Oetker vanilla sugar

Also needed:
– powdered sugar for sprinkling
