Recipe with pictures, step by step – Apricot Meringue Cake – Soft, fluffy, flavorful and delicious homemade cake

preparation:

For the dough , mix the butter together with the powdered sugar until we get a creamy consistency.
Add one yolk at a time, then add the cream, salt and vanilla sugar.
Finally, we incorporate the flour, baking powder and lemon peel.
Line a 33×24 cm tray with baking paper and transfer the dough into it. Uniform and put the apricot halves on top.
Put the tray in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 25 minutes.
For the meringue , mix the egg whites with salt and lemon juice. Gradually add the sugar, mixing continuously until a hard foam is obtained.

We spread the meringue on top of the apricot layer and put the cake back in the oven, at 150 degrees, for 15-20 minutes.
