Puff pastry pretzels are delicious finger food made from puff pastry , filled with ham and cheese and decorated with mixed vegetables .
Simple, quick and tasty, these appetizers are perfect for a buffet or an aperitif , as an aperitif or starter , but also for occasions where you expect many guests and don’t have much time available.
To prepare them we start with the vegetables, which are cooked in the oven for 10 minutes. Then we continue with the dough, which we fill with a cream of cooked ham and cheese and cut into squares, place the vegetables on the dough and cook in the oven for 20 minutes.
If you wish, you can replace our filling with plain cheese spread, add tomato puree or choose the vegetables you like best.
If you want to prepare a buffet with all the trimmings, serve these puff pastries alongside other finger foods, such as puff pizzas , the inevitable rustic sausages , the classic red pizzas or vol-au-vents stuffed with a salmon or tuna mousse.
