Oatmeal, Nut and Date Candies with Chocolate Glaze: A Healthy and Delicious Pleasure

Prepare the sweets:
Start by grinding the oats into flour using a blender or coffee grinder. You can also buy ready-made oat flour.
Add the nuts to the ground oats and blend again until coarsely ground, retaining small pieces for added crunch.

Clean the dates, remove the pits and add them to the blender with the oats and nuts. Blend until you get a smooth paste.
Add the cocoa powder and a pinch of salt to the mixture, then mix again.

Add the honey to thicken the mixture. If the honey is too thick, you can warm it slightly to thin it out before adding it. Mix well until you have a smooth paste.

Form the sweets:
From the dough obtained, form sweets according to the desired shape (balls, bars, etc.). The size is adjustable according to your preference.

Prepare the icing:
Chop the dark chocolate and place in a heatproof bowl. Add the vegetable oil.
Melt the mixture in a double boiler or in 30-second pulses in the microwave, stirring between each heating until the frosting is smooth and uniform.

Coat the sweets:
Dip each candy into the chocolate glaze, letting the excess drip off, then place them on a wire rack or baking paper.

Let the icing set:
Place the candies in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes to allow the icing to harden.
These healthy oatmeal candies are perfect for a gourmet break without excess. Their soft texture and chocolatey coating will satisfy sweet lovers, while providing a nutritional touch thanks to the benefits of oats and nuts.
