mozzarella bread recipe

Mozzarella-brot Rezept : Fluffig und Vegetarisch

 

INGREDIENTS

250 g flour
7 g dry yeast
25 g sugar
½ tbsp salt
50 g melted butter
125 ml milk
1 beaten egg
2 balls of mozzarella
2 tbsp herb butter, homemade as desired

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix flour, dry yeast, sugar, salt, melted butter, milk and the beaten egg to form a smooth yeast dough. This is best done initially with a silicone spatula. Then shape the dough into a ball on a floured surface, although it will be very sticky.
Place the dough ball on a baking tray lined with baking paper and let it rise in a warm oven for at least 30 minutes until the volume has visibly increased.
Meanwhile, prepare the herb butter by mixing plain butter with salt, garlic and chives or other herbs of choice. Alternatively, a ready-made herb butter can be used.
Cut the mozzarella into thin slices.
