Kohlrabi and potato mince casserole

Fry the minced meat in oil until crumbly and season with 1 teaspoon of salt and 0.5 teaspoon of pepper.
Peel the kohlrabi and potatoes, cut them into thin slices and simmer them in the vegetable broth for about 15 minutes.

Grease a baking dish. Layer the drained kohlrabi and potato slices and the chopped meat in the baking dish.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan oven).

For the sauce, heat the butter in a pot and sweat the flour in it. Add milk and cream and stir vigorously so that there are no lumps. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg and simmer for a few minutes while stirring.
Pour the sauce over the kohlrabi and potato mixture and sprinkle the grated cheese on top. Bake the casserole in the oven for about 30 minutes.

If you don’t like so much sauce, you can use half. We like lots of sauce.
