Hot Chocolate Cake

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch cake pan.
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add hot water, vegetable oil, vinegar, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

For the topping: In a small saucepan, heat the cream until it begins to steam. Remove from heat, add chocolate chips, sugar, and vanilla, stirring until smooth.

Once the cake has cooled, pour the hot chocolate topping over the cake and garnish with marshmallows.
