How to make fried brothers

Beat the egg with the sugar until it has dissolved. Add the lemon peel, orange peel, milk, juice of half an orange and liqueur and mix all the ingredients.

Sift the flour and baking powder and continue mixing with the electric whisk.
Add the lard and knead with your hands until you have a smooth and compact dough.
Place the mixture on the work surface and roll it out with a rolling pin. Cut out discs using an 8cm round cutter and then use a smaller mold to make the donuts.
Fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
Cover the donuts with sugar and serve.

You can store the fried meatballs in an airtight container for 1-2 days , but it is recommended to eat them after preparation.
