Christmas cake: The recipe for the perfect shortcrust pastry for the holidays

Ingredients :

FOR THE SHORTCRUFF PASTRY:
00 FLOUR 400 gr
COLD BUTTER 200 gr
Icing Sugar 125 grams
LARGE YELLOW 2 LARGE EGG
1 SALE
1 pinch
FOR FILLING:
STRAWBERRY JAM 400 gr
You also need:
BUTTER FOR THE MOULD qb

How to prepare Christmas cake

Step 1
Collect flour and cold butter in pieces in the bowl of a food processor
Step 2
Stir frequently to avoid overheating the butter until it forms a sandy mass.
Step 3
Put it in a bowl and add a pinch of salt and powdered sugar, then mix the powders with a spoon.
Step 4
Add the eggs and knead quickly with your hands to mix all the ingredients.
Step 5
Form a soft and compact dough, flatten it and wrap it with cling film; put it in the fridge to rest for at least 1 hour.
