For the Cake:

1/2 teaspoon salt 🧂
1 egg 🥚
1/2 cup whole milk 🥛
1/4 cup vegetable oil 🌻
1 teaspoon vanilla extract 🌿
1/2 cup boiling water 💧
For the Chocolate Mousse:

1 1/2 cups heavy cream 🥛
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 🍫
2 tablespoons sugar 🍬
1 teaspoon vanilla extract 🌿

Instructions:

Cake Preparation:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch cake pan.
2️⃣ In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3️⃣ Add egg, milk, oil, and vanilla extract; beat until well combined.
4️⃣ Stir in boiling water until the mixture is smooth. The batter will be thin.
5️⃣ Pour into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
6️⃣ Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
