Cake with cream cheese and lemon for New Year’s Eve – in my family it is eaten immediately

Method of preparation:

We start by beating the egg yolks together with the sugar, then we add the flour, lemon peel, oil and water. We carefully mix everything with the foam formed from the egg whites. Grease the pan with butter and cover with flour, then pour the mixture into the pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.
For the cream cheese: beat the cream with the sugar, then add the dissolved gelatin and mix with the cheese.
For the lemon cream: rub the egg yolks with the sugar until they become creamy, then add the cornstarch and milk, then steam until a thick cream is obtained. After the cream is ready, mix it with the lemon juice and peel and the butter.
Cut the top in half and spread one sheet with strawberry jam, then add the second sheet. Next is a layer of cream cheese, on top of which the lemon cream is placed. At the end, the cream is applied on top and sprinkled with grated chocolate.
Leave the cake in the fridge for a few hours before serving. It’s a treat you’re sure to appreciate!
