CAKE BY THE METER

Ingredients:

– about 500 grams of flour type 400
– 120 grams of margarine or fat
– a cube of yeast
– a teaspoon of sugar
– 250 milliliters of milk
– 60 grams of sugar
Walnut and chocolate filling:
– 250 grams of ground walnuts
– 50 grams of grated chocolate
– 100 milliliters of milk
– 3 tablespoons of sugar
– 20 grams of margarine or butter
For coating:
– egg yolks and a little water
Preparation:
First heat the milk a little, separate one part and mix the yeast with a teaspoon of sugar in it. Pour the remaining milk into a bowl and add the softened margarine to the warmed one and stir until it all melts.
Add flour, sugar and finally yeast and mix. Knead the dough and let it double in size. during this time, prepare the filling. Mix walnuts with sugar and add coarsely grated chocolate.
Heat the milk until it is hot and add the margarine so that it melts in it. Pour it hot over the walnuts and chocolate and mix. Stir until the mixture is even.
Knead the resulting dough and divide it into two parts. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin into a larger square. Cover each part with the prepared filling (divide the filling into two).
Fold the dough a little on the side as in the picture and roll it up. Transfer to a pan. Brush with egg yolk mixed with a little water and bake at 200 C for about half an hour or until golden brown
