Ingredients

for the cream
Creamy cheese
300 grammes
Sour cream
2 tablespoons
Powdered sugar
60 g (1/2 cup)
Cornstarch
20g
for the cake
All purpose flour
160 g (1 1/4 cup)
Cocoa powder
40g
Baking powder
10g
Powdered sugar
150 g (2/3 cup)
Eggs
4
Vegetable oil
100 ml (1/2 cup)
Powdered sugar
How to make a blanket cake
Step 1
In a bowl, mix the cheese with the sugar, sour cream and cornstarch.
2nd step
In another bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar and oil.
Step 3
Sift the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder.
Step 4
Mix the dough until smooth.
Step 5
Pour the mixture into a buttered baking mold.
Step 6
Transfer the mixture to the baking dish and make a lattice pattern with the cheese mixture.
Step 7
Bake at 180°C/350°F for 35 minutes. Test the cake for doneness by inserting a skewer or toothpick into the center. The skewer must be clean and without traces of dough.
Step 8
Sprinkle the cover cake with powdered sugar.
