INGREDIENTS
For the base:
150g dark chocolate
140g (1/2 cup) butter
6 eggs
160g (3/4 cup) sugar
120g (1 cup) flour
8g (1/2 tablespoon) baking powder
For brushing:
270 g (1 cup) cherry syrup
40 g (1/4 cup) water
For filling and coating:
1l (4 1/4 cups) whipped cream
110 g (1/2 cup) sugar
For decoration:
Cherries in
dark chocolate syrup
METHOD
Mix dark chocolate and butter and transfer to microwave for 2 minutes. Stir well to combine, then leave to cool.
Separate the egg yolks and whites. Whisk the egg yolks with the sugar until creamy. Then add the butter and chocolate mixture and mix.
