Schmand – strawberry cake

Ingredients

For the dough:
1 cup butter or sunflower oil
3 cup(s) flour
1 pack baking powder

1 cup orange juice
4 egg(s)
2 cup(s) sugar

For the topping:
1 cup of cream
3 cups of sour cream
4 tablespoons of sugar
e.g. strawberries, cleaned
if necessary. Fat for the tray

preparation

Preheat the oven to 160°C.

Separate the eggs. Mix the egg yolks with sugar, butter, flour, baking powder and orange juice to form a dough. Beat the egg whites into egg whites and fold into the dough. Spread the dough evenly on a greased or baking tray lined with baking paper.

Put in the hot oven and bake for approx. 20-25 minutes. Allow to cool completely before adding the topping.

For the topping, mix the sour cream with the sugar. Beat the cream until stiff and fold in. Spread the mixture onto the cooled cake base and distribute strawberries on top as needed.
