Marble chocolate cake

Ingredients

for the dough:
250 g soft butter
250 g sugar
4 eggs
250 g flour 2 tsp
baking powder
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 tbsp cocoa powder

For the glaze (optional):

100 g chocolate (dark or milk)
50 g butter

Preparation

Step 1: Preheat the oven and prepare the mold

Preheat your oven to 180°C.
Grease a cake tin (e.g. a 24 cm round springform tin) well.

Step 2: Mix butter and sugar until creamy

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Step 3: Add eggs

Gradually add the eggs and beat well.

Step 4: Add flour and baking powder

Sift the flour and baking powder and add to the butter-sugar mixture.
Stir gently until everything is well mixed.

Step 5: Divide and flavor dough

Divide the dough in half.

Add the vanilla extract to one half and stir in.
Add the cocoa powder to the other half and stir well until the dough has an even chocolate color.

Step 6: Create Marble Pattern

Begin adding teaspoonfuls of vanilla and chocolate batter, alternating teaspoonfuls, into the prepared cake pan.
Use a wooden skewer or knife to create a marble pattern by lightly whisking the dough together.
