Here’s my new ideal for dessert: donuts filled with strawberries .
Here are delicious donuts filled with strawberries . They are filled with a creamy pastry cream, topped with red fruit jam, fresh strawberries and a mascarpone cream.
I spotted these treats on an Instagram account of a bakery located in Toronto, Canada. It inspired me a lot. Moreover, I can assure you that it is pure delight. Also, it brings a lot of freshness to the mouth!
To make this recipe, I cooked the donuts in the oven. However, you can also cook them in the fryer.
With this recipe you will be able to make 13 to 15 donuts .
Donut dough
295 g of flour
12 g fresh yeast (or 6 g dry yeast)
160 ml of milk
1 egg
50 g soft butter
50 g de sucre
6 g de sel
Custard
250 ml of milk
25 g of milk
2 eggs
50 g de sucre
50 g of salted butter
1 tsp liquid vanilla (or a vanilla pod)
whipped cream
150 g de mascarpone
180 g of whole liquid cream (30% fat)
2 tbsp of icing sugar
1 teaspoon of liquid vanilla (or half a vanilla pod)
Trim
1 tray of strawberries
1 small jar of strawberry (or red fruit) jam
PREPARATION OF THE RECIPE
Donut dough

In a bowl, pour the lukewarm milk and the crumbled yeast (or dry yeast). Then add 3 tablespoons of flour.

Pour the remaining flour on top without mixing, then leave to rest for 20 to 30 minutes in a warm place. The leaven should come out slightly. This step allows all the flavors of the yeast to develop.
