For the bread:
4 oz. (113g) butter , softened to room temperature
1 cup sugar
zest from 1 orange
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
For the orange syrup:
zest of 1 orange , thinly sliced (or grated)
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
