The walnut biscuits are sweets delicious and easy to prepare. A quick recipe based on 3 simple ingredients, without flour and milk: chopped nuts, sugar and eggs.
Perfect for those who suffer from gluten and dairy intolerances or have special dietary needs. They can be eaten as breakfast and snack along with an espresso or a cup of boiling infusion.
Slightly cracked on the surface, just like the famous crinkle cookies, and with a tender heart and melting, they will conquer adults and children.
To prepare them, simply chop the walnuts finely, mix them with egg and sugar, then form balls with slightly moistened hands. The subsequent soaking in granulated sugar and then in icing sugar gives them their special “crushed” appearance.
In our recipe we have perfumed them with a drop of vanilla essence to give them a delicate scent, but you can add spices or grated citrus peel to taste. To make them even more delicious, you can also add some dark or milk chocolate chips.
