You only need 4 ingredients, puff pastry sticks with ham and cheese

Preparation:

  1. Roll Out Puff Pastry:
    • Begin by rolling out the rectangular puff pastry.
  2. First Filling Layer:
    • Spread half of the sour cream evenly on one half of the puff pastry.
    • Sprinkle half of the diced ham and grated cheese over the sour cream.
    • Fold the uncovered half of the puff pastry over the filled side, creating a folded rectangle.
  3. Second Filling Layer:
    • Spread the remaining sour cream over half of the folded puff pastry.
    • Add the remaining diced ham and grated cheese on top.
    • Fold the uncoated half of the puff pastry over the second filling layer, creating a folded rectangle again.
  4. Cut and Twist:
    • Cut the filled puff pastry into strips.
    • Carefully twist each strip into a spiral shape.
  5. Baking:
    • Place the twisted puff pastry sticks on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
    • Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) for approximately 20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve:
    • Once baked, allow the puff pastry sticks to cool slightly before serving.

Variation:

  • For a different flavor, you can also substitute smoked salmon for ham. Use approximately 200g of smoked salmon in place of ham for an alternative version of these tasty puff pastry sticks.
