The perfect garlic mozzarella bread

Ingredients:

1 egg
3 tbsp butter
125 ml milk
250 g + some flour
1 tsp dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
3 cloves of garlic
2 balls of mozzarella
Pepper, dried Italian herbs and chili flakes for sprinkling
some oil for shaping

Preparation:

1. Whisk egg. Melt butter. Heat milk to lukewarm in a saucepan. Then add flour, dry yeast, sugar, egg, butter, milk and salt to a large mixing bowl.

2. First knead all the ingredients with the dough hook of the hand mixer, then with your hands to form a smooth, very soft yeast dough.

3. Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and then let it rise for 1 hour until the mass has at least doubled in volume.

4. Cut mozzarella into strips. Now knead the dough again with a little flour and shape it into a ball. Preheat the oven (210 °C top and bottom heat).

5. Place the dough on a baking tray lined with baking paper and, using a little oil on your hands, shape it into a round flat cake with a diameter of approx. 25 cm.
