Potato Gratin

Classic melt in your mouth potatoes in a creamy cheese sauce!

ingredients

3 tablespoons butter
1 small onion, finely diced
1 clove garlic, minced/grated
1 teaspoon thyme, chopped (or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme)
3 tablespoons flour (gluten-free for gluten-free)
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups guyere cheese, shredded
1 pinch nutmeg (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
4 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced

directions

Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat, add the onion and cook until tender, about 3-5 minutes.
Add the garlic and thyme and cook until fragrant, about a minute.
