NUT CAKE – GRANDMOTHER’S RECIPE

Ingredients

For the dough:
200 g sugar
10 egg yolks
250 g nuts, ground
3 tbsp breadcrumbs
some bitter almond flavor
10 egg whites
150 g sugar
For the filling:
2 cups cream
e.g. sugar

Preparation

Grease the bottom of a springform pan. Preheat the oven to 170°C.
Mix the sugar with the egg yolks until foamy, add the nuts, breadcrumbs and bitter almond oil. Beat the egg whites with the sugar until stiff, fold into the egg yolk mixture and pour into the mold. (Caution: The dough is very rich, do not put too much into the mold. Tip on the photo to see the rest of the recipe
