Cento tart dough is a simple and versatile base preparation, perfect for making cakes, donuts, muffins and plum cakes. It is prepared with readily available ingredients that we all have at home: eggs, sugar, flour, seed oil, milk and flavorings. In our version, the dough is perfumed with vanilla extract and lemon peel, which provides an enveloping fragrance.
Sprinkled with icing sugar and cut into slices, it can be enjoyed for breakfast or as a snack along with a cup of steaming milk or tea. With its soft and impalpable consistency, it will delight adults and children alike. You can serve it with a custard sauce or fill it with a jam, a delicious cocoa spread or a butter made from dried fruits such as pistachios or hazelnuts.
If you like, you can add chocolate chips , walnuts, sliced โ€‹โ€‹almonds, raisins, toasted pine nuts and diced fresh fruit to this basic dough to obtain a dessert that is always varied.
