Heavenly strawberry cream slices with crispy egg white topping

Preparation:

Prepare the egg white topping: Beat the egg whites in a clean bowl until stiff, gradually adding the icing sugar until a firm, shiny mass is formed.

Bake the dough: Spread the dough on a baking tray lined with baking paper and spread the prepared egg white topping evenly on top. Place the cake in the oven preheated to 180°C and bake for about 30 minutes until the egg white is golden brown. Remove the finished cake from the oven and allow it to cool completely.
Preparing the strawberry cream: Spread the strawberry jam evenly over the cooled cake. Wash and clean the strawberries and cut them into small pieces. Beat the cream with vanilla sugar and icing sugar until stiff. Carefully fold the strawberry pieces into the whipped cream.

For a particularly intense strawberry note, you can flavor the strawberry cream with a little freshly squeezed lemon juice.
