Hello everyone, baking now! No, it’s not Christmas yet, but we have the perfect hazelnut cookie recipe for your time off. It’s a grandma’s style cookie recipe – quick, easy and incredibly delicious!

Ingredients

For the dough:
75g butter, softened
65g sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla paste
1 pinch of salt
150g flour

Further ingredients:
2 egg whites
approx. 100 g chopped hazelnuts
14 tsp nut nougat cream (e.g. Nutella)

Instructions

Mix room temperature butter and sugar with a hand mixer until creamy.
Add egg yolks, vanilla and salt and mix well.
Now add the flour and knead everything into a dough.

Chill the dough for about 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees fan.
Form the dough into balls of equal size (approx. 4-5 cm in diameter), dip them all around in the egg white and roll them in the hazelnuts so that they are covered with hazelnut pieces on all sides.

Then press all the balls in with your thumb so that a hollow is created in the middle.
Bake the cookies for about 20 minutes until golden brown. The time varies slightly depending on the oven.
