Frankfurter Kranz à la Oma Lisa


•200ml oil

•200ml milk or juice

•300g flour

•4 Owner(s)

•250g Zucker

•1 pack. baking powder


For the cream:

•1 pack. Pudding powder, vanilla, for cooking

•200g jam, red

•300g butter, room temperature

•500ml milk

•150g brittle, for sprinkling


First of all, the base is an oil dough, so not too dry like some other bases from Frankfurter Kranz.

Preheat oven to 191°C.

Beat eggs and sugar until thick and creamy. Slowly add oil and liquid. Mix flour with baking powder. Now pour the dough into the greased form (wreath form or springform pan with a chimney). Now bake the base in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes. bake. Do a stick test to see if the base is cooked.

Next, let the base cool and cut it twice.

For the buttercream you have to cook a vanilla pudding from milk and pudding powder according to the instructions. Allow the pudding to cool, stirring occasionally to prevent the pudding from developing a skin.
