Baking the Dough: Place the dough on a baking sheet and bake it for 15 minutes at 220°C. After baking, cover it with a damp towel to keep it soft.

Preparation of the Cream: In a saucepan, mix the egg yolks with the cream. Add the vanilla sugar and mix well. Add the sugar and cornstarch, mixing until all lumps are gone. Pour in the milk and cook over medium heat until the cream thickens. Add the butter and stir until completely melted.
Assembling the Cake: Place the pricked sheet of dough on the bottom of a pan. Pour the prepared vanilla cream over the dough and level. On top, place the previously baked dough strips.
Cooling and Serving: Refrigerate the cake for 4-6 hours to harden the cream. Before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar for decoration.
