Cornstarch Flan Very creamy!

Step 1
Heat a pan, add half a cup of sugar and when the caramel forms, gradually add the quarter cup of water and stir until well mixed.

When the caramel is ready, pour it into a mold and let it cool for a while.

Place the cornstarch in a bowl, add a cup of milk and stir well until the ingredients are well combined.

Next, add the egg yolk and mix well again.

Heat a saucepan on the stove and add the remaining milk, cinnamon and a cup of sugar and stir until the sugar has dissolved.
If you need more sugar, you can add a little more to taste.

When the milk starts to boil, remove all the cinnamon and add the vanilla. Mix very well.

Then gradually add the cornstarch mixture and continue stirring to avoid lumps forming.

Bring to the boil again for about two minutes, stirring constantly so that the milk does not burn.

Immediately pour the cornstarch mixture into the mold with the caramel. The mixture will be a little thick, so don’t worry. Let cool.

Once the mixture has cooled, place the mold in the refrigerator for 5 to 6 hours or overnight.

To demold, use a plate and turn the mold over it to demold it, moving it little by little.
