Cinnamon rolls recipe

Ingredients:

3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup warm milk

1/3 stick of butter
2 tbsp instant dry yeast
1/4 cup melted butter
3 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp cinnamon powder

Preparation:

In a bowl, add warm milk and yeast, mix well until dissolved. Add a spoonful of sugar. Let rest.
In another bowl, mix the flour, salt and sugar. Form the dry mixture into a small mountain on a surface. Make a small well in the center and add the egg and butter. Integrate everything slowly by hand.

When the butter is already integrated with the egg and flour, slowly start adding the milk with the yeast. The milk and yeast mixture should be thick and foamy. The key to this dough is thorough kneading. It will have a sticky consistency at first, so add more flour slowly until it no longer sticks to your hands.

As soon as the dough is no longer sticky, put some oil in a tall container and cover the entire dough ball with it. Then let the dough rest at room temperature in a cool place, covered with cling film or a clean cloth. Let sit until fully risen, about 1 to 2 hours.

When the dough has risen, roll it out on a flat surface with a rolling pin until it is 1cm thick. Trim the edges and form a rectangle. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar. Form into a roll and roll over for better adhesion. Cut into pieces about 1.5 cm thick. Place on a tray lined with baking paper and let rest for a while.
