The chocolate paradise cake is the even tastier version of the famous paradise cake, a typical dessert of the Lombard tradition. Soft and fragrant, it is reminiscent of a classic chocolate cake, but with an irresistibly melting consistency. Loved by adults and children, it is perfect for breakfast and as a snack , dipped in a cup of milk or accompanied by a spicy infusion or a good espresso.
The basic dough made of eggs, sugar, butter and flour is enriched with bitter cocoa powder and a touch of chocolate flakes , which melt when baked in the oven and give the paradise cake a soft and pleasantly juicy consistency.
Preparing the Chocolate Paradise cake is very simple and does not require any special technique: just beat the soft butter with the sugar and vanilla, add the eggs one by one, the powder and finally the chopped chocolate: the mixture will be light and fluffy, just like a chocolate mousse. For a perfect result, we recommend making sure that all the ingredients are at room temperature, including the eggs.
Once the paradise cake is ready and very cold, it can be enjoyed with a pinch of icing sugar or filled with a hazelnut cream, a chocolate ganache, a pastry or simply with a generous layer of cream to make it a spectacular dessert and ideal to serve at the end of the meal.
You can also cut it in half and spread it with a delicate milk cream: this is how you get the cocoa version of the Kinder Paradiso cake.
