Apple pudding cake: the recipe for a simple and comforting dessert

Step 1
Wash, dry and peel the apples1. Then cut into 4 segments and remove the core.

Cut them into thin slices2 and collect them little by little in a bowl and sprinkle with lemon juice.

Beat the room temperature butter with the sugar in a bowl until creamy; then add the eggs one at a time3.
Step 4
Add flour, yeast, grated lemon peel and a pinch of cinnamon to the dough. Then add the apple slices and mix with a spatula4.
Step 5
Line a baking dish of about 15×20 cm with wet and wrung out baking paper. Pour in the mixture (5) and smooth it out with a spatula.
Step 6
Bake in a static oven at 180 °C for about 30 minutes, until the top of the cake looks slightly puffy and golden6.
Step 7
Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Then sprinkle with icing sugar and serve7.
