Apple delight: the recipe for a simple and delicious dessert

Halve the dough. Roll out the first dough with a rolling pin into a rectangular sheet

Line a 30×20 cm baking tray with a sheet of baking paper and place the prepared dough on it (12).

Distribute the apples evenly over the dough

Seal the edges well and bake in a hot oven at 180 °C for about 45 minutes.

Once the cake is out of the oven, allow it to cool completely before cutting it into squares and sprinkling with icing sugar.
Tip:
You can replace the grated orange peel with lemon peel and the natural yoghurt with vanilla, lemon or fruit yoghurt.
Instead of powdered sugar, you can add brown sugar or coconut sugar: in this case, the dessert will turn out darker. If you want, before arranging the apple slices, you can spread a thin layer of jam or preserves on the first sheet.
If you don’t have a rectangular shape, you can use a round shape with a diameter of 24 centimeters.
Storage:
The apple delight can be stored for 2 days at room temperature under a glass lid or in a special airtight container.
